Bootleggers Old Town Tavern & Grill, a front-runner in the use of locally sustainable products, continues to feature fresh, local produce, USDA choice meats and daily seafood specials grilled over a wood burning grill.

Executive Chef and co-owner Ty Rowe, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., apprenticed nationally with the Marriot Hotel chain, later honing his skills in Europe. Aside from overseeing the award-winning cuisine at Bootleggers, he can be seen at numerous regional cooking demonstrations and competitions. He has also been featured on numerous TV cooking shows. His style favors simple, fresh flavors prepared in many international  cooking styles, using locally grown products to provide a seasonal menu, balanced with a blend of classical flavors and homestyle comfort food.

Our eclectic menus showcase the freshness of the seasonal foods available to our area. Whether it be from one of our local farmers or brought in from one of the neighboring regions, you will always find the best of what is in season available on our menu.

From local herbs and produce to California’s freshest meat and seafood. Bootleggers, a front-runner in the “slow food” movement has lead the way by continually preparing its food from scratch and using the freshest ingredients available. All stocks, sauces, soups, salad dressings and desserts are made in house ensuring the highest of standards for our guests.

While at Bootleggers, sample from our large wine list featuring the regions best local wines, and all your favorites from our great state. Bootleggers also has an extensive beer list with nine beers on tap and over sixty more by the bottle, from Colfax’s Fox Barrel Cider to Sierra Nevada. Come taste all that California has to offer.

Bootleggers also carries one of the largest selections of European beers in the area, specializing in Belgium Ales. So while at Bootleggers be sure to grab a pint or tip a yard or maybe even split a boot.
